Deanna worked as a graduate intern last summer in 2022, focusing primarily on HOP's transportation work, before returning to finish her Master of Public Health at San Jose State University. We are so excited to have Deanna join the HOP team as a Project Manager, and we hope you join us in making her feel welcome! |

Structural Competency Learning Group Learning Collaborative Announcement
The Learning Group will provide a structured learning space for Health Center staff to come together to learn, analyze, and discuss the structural factors which cause health inequities and put certain populations at higher risk for harm, including intimate partner violence, exploitation, and human trafficking. Participating staff at community health centers can utilize this framework to create a culture of care and affect actionable change at their organizations. The Learning Group can be particularly beneficial for operations staff, but all are invited to participate. Check out the FAQs for more details. Registration closes on Wednesday, March 29th. The sessions will be conducted in English with Spanish interpretation available. |

New Year, Same Fight Blog Announcement
For HOP's monthly blog posts, Senior Project Manager, Meghan Erkel, shares her perspective on the never ending fight for reproductive health rights in the United States. In the blog, she breaks down what comprehensive reproductive health really means, including taking a historical perspective while we look to future ramifications of the latest threats to the rights of women and birth givers. This fight will be key for HOP as we look to tackle more issues surrounding reproductive health while keeping equity at the forefront. |
| Learning from the Impacts of COVID-19 Blog Announcement In our March blog post, former HOP Project Manager, Margaret Anderson, reflects on the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as synthesizes the insight of our guests from HOP's podcast series that Margaret produced. One of the biggest takeaways from this experience is that while we are eager to move on from the traumatic experiences of the pandemic, we can't do so without a heavy dose of reflection to better prepare for the future. |

National Conference for Health Center Leaders! The National Conference on Agricultural Worker Health will be held in Seattle, Washington, from May 2-4, 2023. This year’s theme is “Sowing Strength/Cultivando Fortaleza: Meeting Environmental, Social and Care Challenges in Farmworker Health.” This in-person only event will have relevant, inspiring educational programming and is the only national conference dedicated to improving the health of Migrant & Seasonal Agricultural Workers (MSAW) and their families! Come network with your peers; celebrate annual migrant health awardees; learn about health care delivery, policy, and proven effective outreach efforts; and leave inspired and connected to your health center counterparts.
