New Mission, New Location
Dear Colleagues, Partners and Supporters:
Spring is a time of growth, exploration, and transition. For Health Outreach Partners, this season is especially exciting. Today, we are proud to announce our new Mission Statement, which will guide the continued development of our organizational culture and strategic growth. At the same time, we remain committed to our vision and core values.
Mission: We respond to community needs by equipping health partners with relevant, strategic knowledge and tools to transform communities from the ground up, resulting in a healthy and equitable society.
Together, with the leadership of our Board of Directors, our team underwent a series of deep conversations that explored our history, enriched our understanding of HOP’s place in the community health landscape, and imagined our future to advance access to care for people historically excluded from care. We will remain a leader in training and technical assistance, continuing to focus on advocating for outreach as pivotal in advancing health equity and improving the community’s well-being.
For over 50 years, Health Outreach Partners has worked to improve access to care for farmworker communities nationwide through innovative outreach programs. We commit to remaining true to our roots. While reimagining our mission statement, we visualized our organization as the center of the community health wheel, working with all healthcare industry sectors. We also acknowledged that we need help to do this work. Our most significant impact comes from building trusting relationships and leveraging our collective strengths. In recent years, we have partnered not only with community and migrant health centers but also with county health departments, health plans, community-based organizations, and policymakers as thought partners to provide innovative programs supporting structural advancements for farmworker communities and others who have had a limited voice in their care.
