Health Center Preparedness and Response Forum
Webinar Series

For health centers serving priority populations, such as agricultural workers, individuals experiencing homelessness, residents of public housing, and other underserved groups including older adults, and Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian patients. HRSA National Training and Technical Assistance Partners (NTTAPs) will host a four-part webinar series focused on preparing for and responding to a wide variety of emergencies. This four-part series will promote promising practices and offer strategies for addressing challenges related to both emergency planning and recovery.

East Coast Migrant Stream Forum
Conference Announcement

The 36th annual East Coast Migrant Stream Forum will take place November 29-December 1, 2023 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This is an annual event hosted by the North Carolina Community Health Center Association. Over 200 health professionals, researchers, advocates, and students from more than 20 states and Puerto Rico attend the three-day conference. The forum is organized into five major disciplines: clinical, outreach/lay health/community health workers, policy, programmatic/administrative, and research. Registration and abstract submissions are open now! Abstract submissions for conference workshops are open until 9/29/23.

Western Forum for Migrant and Community Health
Conference Announcement

The 2024 NWRPCA Western Forum for Migrant and Community Health, to be held in Seattle, WA February 22 - 24, 2024, provides education and training, information and resource sharing, coalition building, and program and policy development for like-minded community health professionals and their partners. The conference committee is excited to recognize and share the many ideas and advances that have improved patient and staff experience in our region.

Calling all CHW/P/Rs and other community health professionals in California!
Virtual Summit Announcement

Calling all CHW/P/Rs and other community health professionals in California!

Join us at a Virtual Summit hosted on Zoom by CACHW on September 28th, 5:30-7:30 PM as our partners from Stanford University, alongside a team of CHW/P/Rs from organizations throughout California, share preliminary results from the study “Exploring Individual Identity, Belonging, and Collective Organizing of Community Health Workers (CHWs) in California”.

The main goal of the study was to explore the identities, experiences, and workforce goals of Community Health Workers, Promotorx, and Community Health Representatives (CHW/P/Rs) in California through focus groups led by a team of CHWs Facilitators, with support from Stanford researchers.

The team will present details on how the study was developed, how the focus groups were implemented, and preliminary findings from the focus group conversations. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the research process and discuss with other CHWs. In addition to English, live Spanish and ASL interpreters will be available throughout the presentation and discussion to assist with language needs.
