HOP At The Western Forum for Migrant and Community Health

Health Outreach Partners collaborated with our partners from MHP Salud and Farmworker Justice at the recent Western Forum for Migrant and Community Health last week in Seattle, WA. HOP's listening session focused on Lifting the Voices of BIPOC Healthcare staff. The audience was engaged, and we received positive feedback on how to help amplify the voices of BIPOC Healthcare staff.
Aba Anison-Amoo, Program Manager, and Monica Garcia, Health Strategy Specialist from MHP Salud, had an exciting discussion about updating our Emergency Preparedness Tipsheet with a group of outreach workers

Cindy Selmi, HOP Executive Director, had an insightful and robust discussion with our partners from FJ and MHP Salud. The topic of the conversation was centered around Resilience and Recovery.

Our new resource explores:

The impact of transportation on access to care and other social determinants of health.
The unmet needs and gaps in policies affecting transportation and health.
The structural factors that predispose underserved populations to poor access to transportation.
The recommendations and tested strategies for addressing patient transportation barriers.
